CALL: mail response required to add to ongoing artwork
FALCO SUBBUTEO SUBBUTEO (THE HOBBY)
Readers, this is mail art in that it uses mail, but it's different from most of the calls on Mail Art Forums as follows:
a) it's directed and therefore compromised
b) it's for an existing artwork rather than a mail art show
But this still involves mail, not email, because a made mark is required. So here goes - I positively welcome mail response to add to an ongoing artwork called "Falco subbuteo subbuteo (The Hobby)". It's about birdwatching (and art).

A bird may or may not have been removed from that picture. You are invited to print off a pdf (see link on web page) and then use your skill and judgment to mark the exact center of the bird on the picture. If you then send it back to me at the location quoted on the pdf, supplying your name and address where shown, I’ll cut it out and put your contribution on a table in front of an enlarged version of the image. And put it in two art exhibitions, one in London in Nov 2008, the other in Plymouth in Feb 2008. And more shows, as the piece grows and time moves on.
If you are really up for it, by all means make a number of marks on the paper, at no cost to you beyond your time and inclination. Or make just one (mark). Or whatever. And if you're really worried about identity, just make up a name and address. But I need people to enter something there or else the whole point is lost.

"Two Worlds" Art Call - Atelier Deux Mondes, France.
For its Fall 2008 exhibition season, Atelier Deux Mondes in Metz, France will host a mail art exhibition under the theme “Two Worlds”.
All contributions corresponding to the theme will be shown in an on-going exhibition which opens in October 2008.
Artworks will also be published on the gallery blog from October 2008 to April 2009.
DETAILS:
-All work MUST be in black and white. (Grey-scale)
-Size: No larger than 13 x 18 cm. (5 x 7 inches)
-Postal cards & Art envelopes only please.
-No e-mail submissions accepted.
-Multiple entries accepted.
-No packages can be accepted. No works will be returned.
-This is an on-going exhibition, but to be included in the inaugural exhibition and opening events, YOUR ARTWORK MUST ARRIVE BEFORE OCTOBER 15, 2008.

Announcing ZADARAMA 2008 a mail art call to celebrate and enhance mailart in Croatia.I am going to be part of an artist residency for 50 artists from around the world.This is to coordinate with that-UO Zadertina. El 17 de octubre de 1967, el Estado de Chile creó el Parque Nacional La Campana, que fue declarado el 15 de febrero de 1985 Reserva de la Biosfera por la UNESCO.
Este lugar está en peligro: CODEFF ha trabajado por la protección del Parque Nacional La Campana desde la creación de su filial en la V Región, en 1990. Primero para conseguir el término de la explotación minera dentro del Parque y ahora para intentar impedir que se entregue su territorio a un grupo de privados. Re: "Particulates Matter" Mail Art Call
A slight correction on the size of artwork - it should be about 10cm X 10cm or 2.5cm X 2.5cm for 2-D artwork, or about 10cm X 10cm X 10cm or 2.5 cm X 2.5 cm X 2.5 cm for 3-D artwork. And while those sizes are preferred, regular postcard size is OK as well. Thanks.

We've all heard the terms. What does this mean to you? What comes to mind? What do YOU consider a 'Freak of Nature"? What constitutes this label?
This is an open call to artists of all mediums to challenge themselves to respond to the title of this show.
Who can participate: Anyone in the world, all artists welcome, all mediums.
When is the deadline: All art must be received by October 15, 2008. Send anytime prior to the deadline.
What dimensions are acceptable: Anything that will go through the postal mail. Be creative! Be weird! Be a freak! Small, large, anything goes!
Where will the art be exhibited: All art and imagery will appear online with a grand opening on October 31, 2008. HALLOWEEN! FREAKY!
Will the show travel to various venues? YES! We are working on a traveling exhibition with multiple venues. You will be notified of the exhibitions and we wish to receive your permission to possibly make a Freak-Zine (a visual catalog of the submissions) that will be distributed to all artists (online version will be sent via email) and to others who request it. The 'Freak-Zine" will be a vital part of the traveling exhibition and its visual historical documentation.
Will my art be returned? No. The body of work in this show may possibly be accepted as part of a Permanent Collection of a museum. Therefore, it would NOT be returned to the artist.
