Open Call for Mail Art---Anything Goes, Everything Shows (no replies)
Anything Goes-Everything Shows Mail Art Exhibition Artists are invited to submit non-returnable artwork for Anything Goes, Everything Shows. Our mail art show title says it all as All submissions will be exhibited in the Courtyard Gallery, from September 25-Nov1st 2010. . Artists are encouraged to demonstrate or explore imagery of of any kind including: contemporary arts, idols, sovereigns, icons, anti-war themes, anti-government themes, etc.
Format: any size, if you can stamp it and get it through the Post Office, it will show. Technique: All media will be accepted including mixed media, Collage, Montage,Sculpture Digital art, Painting, Printmaking, and Photography. Collage and/or the use of imagery are encouraged. Don't be afraid to experiment with 3 dimensional art, we have exhibited painted shoes, records, fish, sticks, and even hog jowls and coal, remember; anything goes, everything shows!

Call for entries Global Faces of Contemporary Art (no replies)
Argos Gallery, is inviting to the first edition of “Global Faces of Contemporary Art” which seeks to contribute to the art world, facilitating the dispersion of global art discourses, providing a bibliographic source for future generations, promoting the quality and consistency of artistic production and strengthening the ties between all kinds of professionals involved with art and culture around the world.
We are calling upon contemporary artists of all nationalities, without exception of categories or mediums, to participate in our search for the new names of contemporary avant-garde art, of both current and future generations.
The rules, terms and conditions and application form, will be available online starting June 25, 2010 on the gallery’s website: www.argosgallery.com and will be closed on October 1, 2010. Starting October 25, 2010 the jury will be notifying the selected artists individually.
The selected artists will be exhibited in our online gallery, receive a one year tutoring by our advisers, will have international publicity and will be part of our biannual art catalog that will be distributed among the major galleries and museums around the world.
The jury will select from digital applications, there are no limitations, but some essential aspects to consider are: - Work must be original - Presentation care - Consistency and coherence in the working process - Quality of Representation: The photographs and / or work templates must have a resolution of 300 dpi - Details annexes will be valued

OPEN CALL FOR MAIL ART--- The Myth of POWER Art Exhibition (no replies)
Artists are invited to submit non-returnable artwork that responds to the theme of POWER. All submissions will be exhibited in the The Myth of Power art Exhibition from October 16 – November 12, 2010 at 1310 Gallery, Sailboat Bend Artist Lofts, Ft Lauderdale, Florida/USA. Names of all participants and images of exceptional artworks will be featured in a catalogue. Prospective artists may explore and interpret individual conceptions of “power,” whether used for harm or for good; in regards to social doctrine, hierarchy, gender or racial inequity, or other forces of power, influence, or domination. Artists are encouraged to demonstrate or explore imagery of physical strength, heroism, idols, sovereigns, icons, etc.
Format: any size between Postcards, size A4 and up to A3. Technique: All media will be accepted including mixed media, Collage, Montage, Digital art, Painting, Printmaking, and Photography. Collage and/or the use of imagery are encouraged.

Our Goal : To raise awareness and support for Florence Cassez in the region of Wervik, and around the world. To engage participants in a reflexion over the importance of freedom and the need of an honest justice.

ARTErra- Artistic Rural Residence
ARTErra is a private structure of incentive for artistic creation in a quiet and green small village. In a laboratory logic, the artists finds at ARTerra a house with a series of comforts and a yard of creation, with several spaces for creation and development of an artistic work. This structure is placed in Lobão da Beira, a village in PORTUGAL, near Tondela, district of Viseu. We offer two distinct spaces: the house where the residents can do the meals, rest, meet each others..., and the "creation yard", with different work places, ateliers, studio, blackbox, documentation center and peaceful gardens. - Portfolio, videos, photos , musics...;
- Description of the project to be undertaken at ARTERRA, including the project's objectives, needs and expectations of residence ,work methodologies,and all the details necessary to understand the proposal;
- Ideal dates and time for the residence;
- Complementary information (needs for meals, number of persons involved, technical requirements, work characteristics and other additional information relevant to the work process). Hi My name is edvard derkert, I run a gallery called Gallery KG52 ( [kg52.se] ) in Stockholm. We are going to have a mailart exhibition called spectacular sights – postcard of places yet to be seen. [mailart.se] Our gallery is quite big and postcards are quite small so we need lots of participants so I would be very happy if you would like to particpate and/or spread the word about this exhibition!

Memorable Movie Moments (no replies)
What is your favorite quote from a movie? Share it with the rest of us and illustrate it :) If you can't decide on an actual quote, you can also share a particular scene or even make an 'alternative' poster for your favorite movie. You can also add a short explanation about why this particular quote/scene/movie is important to you.

Works will be documented on the blog and exhibited in a venue in Sarajevo in July, during the Sarajevo Film Festival when the entire town lives for the movies.
